Adding or replacing an expansion card
To add or replace an expansion card:

Remove the side panel by following the instructions in “Removing the side
panel” on page 12 .

Remove the thumbscrew from the expansion card cover.

For more stability, place your computer on its side. To avoid scratching the
case, place it on a towel or other non-abrasive surface.

If you are replacing a card, disconnect any cables that are attached to the
card, noting their locations and orientation. (You may have to reconnect
the cables after you install the new card.)

Remove the old expansion card (if necessary). You can slightly seesaw the
card end-to-end to loosen it, but do not bend the card sideways.
