508-HD Quick Install Guide.
The 508-HD must be secured to an interior surface of the vehicle with the Tek Screws provided.
Do Not orient the 508-HD such that the front of the COMRAD™ faces the floor of the vehicle.
Wire the 508-HD into the vehicle as per the table below.
Do No disassemble the 508-HD. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Warranty will be voided.

Quick Configuration Guide.
The 508-HD firmware must be configured before using the DVR. Connect a monitor to the Video Out port on the front of the 508-
HD. Press the Setup key on the IR Remote Control. Enter the following login information when prompted:

Move the cursor to the System Settings icon and press Enter.
There are Eight Configuration Options which typically require setting. Configure as per customer requirements.

After setting the configuration, format the COMRAD™.
Start the vehicle and wait for the 508-HD to boot up, approximately one minute. Confirm live camera video is visible on small
monitor (small Red R in each camera image – indicates the DVR is recording). Confirm DVR is recording by observing the LED’s as
per the following table:

To access the COMRAD™, turn the provided key to the unlock position. Untighten the retaining screws and remove the
COMRAD™. Ensure that the 508-HD has fully powered down before removing the COMRAD™ or video corruption and/or total
video loss may occur.
