4. Wait, until the POWER button is illuminated continuously again. Ensure that the
hot water / steam wand is directed to the drip tray or into the vessel used. Then
turn the selection dial COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to run hot water through the hot
water / steam wand. After 10 -15 seconds, turn the selection dial back to the
vertical position (OFF) to stop the water flow. Wait, until the POWER button is
illuminated continuously again. Ensure that there is still enough water in the water
tank.
5. Press the STEAM button to select the steam function. Then turn the selection dial
COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to give off steam via the hot water / steam wand. After
approx. 10 seconds, turn the selection dial back to the vertical OFF position to
stop the steam function. Automatically, the STEAM button will go out and the hot
water function will be selected again.
6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 until the water tank is empty. In between times, do not forget
to empty the vessel (drip tray) in time. While doing this, keep in mind that the
vessel and its contents may be very hot.
7. Refill the water tank and, if required, empty the drip tray. The appliance is now
ready for making your espressi.

During operation and thereafter, hot steam
and hot water could escape from the group head and/or hot water / steam wand.
Do not hold your hands or any delicate object near the group head or hot water /
steam wand. Hot steam and hot water under pressure could escape even shortly after
shut-off.
Young children must always be supervised when the espresso machine is in
their reach.
Empty the drip tray at the latest when the red filling level indicator is sti-
cking out of the grill of the drip tray.
After the last operation of the appliance, the
backflush system of the appliance will give off surplus water for releasing the pressu-
re within the water system.
Press the POWER button to switch off the appliance
before removing the drip tray.
Note:
During operation and in standby mode, the POWER button may flash occasional-
ly, indicating that the espresso machine keeps the correct temperature of the group
head. For brewing a shot of espresso, you should wait, until the POWER button is
illuminated continuously to ensure that the group head has reached the appropriate
temperature for brewing.
