• Do not use low power chainsaws for heavy works.
• Only use the cable for its purpose. Never carry the chainsaw held
by its cable. Do not pull the cable to disconnect it from the plug.
Protect the cable from the heat, oil and sharp edges.
• Use only multiple sockets for outdoor areas.
• Use a strong support when cutting the wood trunks and narrow
branches (trestle, Fig. 8). Do not pile up the wood and do not hold it
with your feet or allow other people to hold it.
• In inclined positions, always work face upwards.
• When cutting, always adjust the limit of the hook against the wood
that you want to saw. (Fig. 8)
• Remove the chainsaw from the wood only when the chainsaw is still
working.
• If making several cuts, turn the chainsaw off between cuts.
• Cutting with the end of the bar can only be done by professionals.
(high risk of kickback, Fig. 9).
• If the chain is blocked when cutting with the top side it could recoil
back towards the user. Therefore you should always saw with the
bottom side, then the chainsaw will be pushed from the user towards
the wood. (Fig. 10 y 11).
• Pay extra attention when cutting chipped wood. The sawn wood
pieces could be sent in any direction. (risk of injuries!)
• Do not cut with the guide bar. ( risk of kickback , Fig. 9).
• Pruning branches with leaves has to be done by trained personnel!
(risk of injuries)
• Pay special attention to the branches under tension. Do not cut
branches freely suspended from below.
• Never stand on the trunk when pruning the branches.
• The electric chainsaw should not be used for forest work, like felling
or pruning branches in the forest. Owing to the cable connection the
chainsaw user does not have sufficient mobility and his security is
not guaranteed!.
• Always remain next to the tree that you are going to fell.
• When felling trees, keep an eye on the branches that fall.
• In inclinations, the chainsaw user must be at the top left hand side
of the trunk or at the top right hand side of the trunk, never at the
bottom side.
• Watch the trunks that roll towards you. Backward movement!
• The chainsaw tends to go backwards if the end of the guide bar
accidentally touches the wood or any other solid object. In this case,
the chainsaw will move without any control and it will be sent towards
the user with all its power.
