Open the Closable Link (N) at the top of the Straight Chain Assembly (M) and hook it on to the
Wood Thread Eye Bolt (L). Lock the Closable Link.
YOU MUST COMPLETELY TIGHTEN AND
SHUT THE LINK.
Repeat for the second chain assembly. See Figures 7, 7a and 7b.
To adjust the height of the swing, unlock and remove the Closable Link that is connected to the
eye bolt and the top link. Hook the Closable Link over a link farther down (this will shorten the chain)
and re-attach to the eye bolt. Repeat for the second chain, making sure to attach the Closable Link
on to the equal-numbered chain link.

OPTION B:
To hang the swing from a porch beam.
NOTE: It MUST be at least a
2" x 6" structural beam.
6.
Determine where you want to hang the swing. Using a variable speed drill and a ¼" drill bit, drill two
pilot holes two inches deep and 54-3/8" apart. Insert a Wood Thread Eye Bolt (L) into each hole.
To help you tighten the bolt into the beam, insert the shank of a screwdriver into the eye and rotate
the bolt. See Figure 6.
