Key programming
(VIN locked L319-04, L320-05)
Preparations
•
Have all keys on hand including new keys
•
Unlock the doors
•
Close all doors including the tailgate
Instructions
A previously programed key is required to start the process. Simply follow instructions on screen.
Key Programming
(VIN locked L322-06)
CAUTION
It is considered good practice to connect a power supply (Midtronic’s
PSC-550, CTEK MXS 25 or equivalent) to the battery when perfor-
ming key programming. This will ensure that the battery voltage is
sufficient.
Note: Battery chargers are not suitable due to poor line regulation.
Preparation
•
Ensure all keys to be programed are available.
•
Ensure the vehicle is unlocked
•
All the doors, including the boot, must be closed.
•
It is recommended to sit inside the vehicle with all the doors closed whilst this procedure is
performed.
Instructions
Follow the instructions shown on screen to program the transponders. New Keys are coded at posi
-
tion 0. Do not turn ignition ON. Once completed, the fobs (lock/unlock) will be programed by following
these instructions. When prompted by the tool:
•
Switch the ignition on and then off again within 5 seconds
•
Remove from the ignition
• Ensure all doors are closed
Note
:
The following steps need to be completed within 30 seconds. Do not turn on the ignition until all
keys are programed. If this occurs, the sequence will have to be restarted from the beginning. When
prompted by the IIDTool:
•
Press and hold the Unlock button on the first key to be programed. Whilst the button is being
pressed, press the lock button 3 times within 10 seconds.
