Power Steering Calibration Learn (L538, L494)
Usage
This routine is required when replacing the power steering module or whole assembly itself.
Turbo Reset (L538)
Usage
This routine is required when the Turbocharger is replaced.
Turbo SOV Adaption Reset (L550)
Usage
This routine is required when the Turbocharger is replaced. Engine must be at operating temperature.
Steering Lock Initialization (L359)
Usage
This routine is required when the Steering Lock module is replaced.
Water In Fuel Reset (L538, L405-13, L494-14)
Usage
This routine is required when the water in fuel warning lamp or message is ON. It will effectively turn
it OFF once the filter has been emptied. The warning lamp or message will come back if water is still
present.
Service Interval Reset (L316, 2017+)
This resets the service reminder displayed on the instrument cluster.
Notes:
On 2017+ Diesel, some vehicles will require a GWM ECU update in the case where the reset
does not remove the message upon starting the vehicle.
One can try the manual method first on 2017+ vehicles;
•
Open the bonnet (hood) and close all doors.
•
Press the START/STOP button once without pressing the brake pedal.
•
Open the driver’s door.
•
Fully depress and hold the BRAKE and GAS pedals for 30 seconds.
•
The “Service Resetting” message will appear in the display to turn off the ignition.
•
Press the ENGINE START/STOP button once.
•
Verify the indicator has been reset by starting the engine.
