Service
Note:
More power and current are required to start larger ion
pumps or pumps started at higher pressures. Use the full
extent of available rough pumping before starting an ion
pump to extend the pump’s lifetime, improve system ultimate
pressure, and give the most accurate current readings.
10.1.1.
Cleaning procedure
Prior to any cleaning of the pump, the mains power should be disconnected.
Once powered off, use a 50% distilled water and 50% isopropyl alcohol
solution to clean the entire unit. A soft, non abrasive cloth will ensure no
damage to the LCD screen and finish of the unit.
