11. SECURITY MEASURES.
These equipment requires a maximum responsibility in its use and maintenance. Read safety chapter carefully. So as the
rest of this instruction manual as well. It will depend the correct use of this equipment.
Only specialized personal can operates this equipment.
In any intervention of maintenance or disassembly of some internal element, the machine must be disconnected
from the electrical power supply.
The equipment must be connected to the grounding, it is effective always..
The equipment should not be on a wet zone.
DO NOT USE THIS MACHINE TO DEFROST PIPES.
Do not use if welding or power cables are damaged.
Avoid action on the equipment switches when the welding operation is being performed.
Make sure that the piece to be welded makes a perfect electrical contact with the mass of the equipment.
Avoid leaning directly on the workpiece. We will always work with protective gloves. Handling of the welding guns
and welding masses will be carried out with the equipment switched off (off position (o) of the main switch. Do not
touch electrically active parts (pistol, dough, etc.) with your bare hand.
Use original spare parts
It is advisable to clean the workpiece from the possible existence of greases and solvents since these can decompose
in the welding process by releasing a smoke that can be true toxic. It can happen the same with those materials that
incorporate some type of surface treatment (galvanized, galvanized etc.) Avoid inhalation of fumes during process
at all times. Protect from smoke and metallic dust. Use approved smoke masks. Work with these equipment must be
performed in premises or workplaces where there is adequate air renewal. The realization of welding processes in
closed places advises the use of suitable vacuum cleaners.
In the welding process, the electric arc formed emits infrared and ultraviolet radiation, which is harmful to your eyes
and skin. Therefore, it is advisable to protect these uncovered areas with suitable gloves and clothing.
Eyes must be protected with an approved protection system of a minimum protection rating of 11. With electric arc
welding machines wear eye and face protection.
Use homologated protection elements always.
Never wear contact lenses, they may stick to the cornea because of the strong heat emanating from the process.
Bear in mind: The arc is considered dangerous within a radius of 15 meters.
During the MMA welding process projections of molten material spring up, due precautions must be taken.
Never direct the electrode holder drawing to persons.
An extinguisher must be located near the workstation..
Avoid flammable or explosive materials nearby the workplace.
Prevent fire from sparks or slags..
Use homologated footwear for this type of operations.
Wear homologated hearing protectors if noise is high.
In environments under increased risk of electric shock, fire, proximity to flammable products or height, observe the
corresponding national and international regulations.
