5. ANOMALIES. PROBABLE CAUSES. POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS.
SYMPTOM. ANOMALY. PROBABLE CAUSE. POSSIBLE SOLUTION.
NOTHING WORKS.
The machine has no voltage.
Change the tap and/or the supply hose.
Observe if any magnetothermal has
"blown".
Mains voltage out of range
Check supply voltage.
ON/OFF switch faulty. Replace ON/OFF switch.
LIMITER TRIPS.
Magnetothermal switch has low
gauge for the case.
Change the magnetothermal for another
larger gauge one. Cut-off at lower current
levels.
There may be a short circuit.
Disconnect the machine from the mains
and check the supply hose
THERMAL LED LIGHTING
Equipment overheated. Wait until the equipment cools down.
Mains voltage out of range Check supply voltage.
NO PILOT ARC AND
PRESSURE LED ON
Lack of pressure
Provide air and regulate. (Minimum at 4.0
Bar)
NO PILOT ARC AND SAFE
VOLTAGE LED ON
Retaining cap incorrectly
positioned
Place it in its correct position.
THERE IS A PILOT ARC BUT IT
DOES NOT GO OUT
You forgot to connect the ground
clamp. Connect the ground clamp to the piece to
be cut.
The cutting speed is very high. Reduce the speed.
THERE IS PILOT ARC BUT IT
GOES OUT
Low mains voltage. Check the equipment power supply
The working pressure is very high Lower the torch pressure
BOTH AT THE START AND END OF A REPAIR, CHECK THE EQUIPMENT INSULATION LEVELS. DISCONNECT
THE ELECTRONIC BOARDS WHEN MEASURING THE INSULATION.
BLOW THE INSIDE OF THE EQUIPMENT WITH COMPRESSED AIR.
The insulation-measuring device will have 500 V D.C. and will be applied to the following points of the circuit:
Power supply - Earth tap: Ra > 50 Mohms.
- Cutting operation - Earth tap: Ra > 50 Mohms.
- Power supply - Cutting operation: Ra > 50 Mohms.
