Eliminating minor faults yourself
Before you call customer service:
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault
yourself based on the following information.
Customer service will charge you for advice, even
if the appliance is still under guarantee!
You can remedy the following
malfunctions yourself when you
check the possible causes:
The appliance is not working:
Please check,
–
that the mains plug sits correctly in the socket
and
–
that the fuse in the socket has not tripped.
The noises are too loud:
Please check that the appliance is standing firmly on
the floor. Please bear in mind that nothing can prevent
flow noises in the refrigeration circuit.
The temperature in your wine unit is too high:
Please check the setting under the section “Setting
the temperature” and,
–
that the separate thermometer shows the correct
value,
–
that ventilation is working properly, and
–
that the wine unit is not too close to a source
of heat.
Please bear in mind that, similarly to other forms of
storage, the label adhesive may give rise to a slight
growth of mould.
This can be eliminated when the bottles are cleaned
carefully of adhesive residue.
Customer service
If none of the above causes apply and you are unable
to remedy the malfunction yourself, then please turn to
the nearest customer service point.
Your local customer service can be found in the
telephone directory or in the customer-service index.
Please provide customer service with the appliance
product number (E-Nr.) and production number
(FD-Nr.).
These specifications can be found on the rating plate.
To prevent unnecessary call-outs, please assist
customer service by quoting the product and
production numbers. This will save you additional
costs.
