Enhanced Electronic Governor EEG7000 with GAConfig Tool 8-2021-D6
PIB1009
Setting variable speed requires a potentiometer, available from GAC.
A potentiometer calibration within the GAConfig Tool characterizes the
selected potentiometer.
Analog variable speed is enabled when Pins 5 and 6 are
not
grounded.
To add a potentiometer:
1.
Connect either a 5 kΩ potentiometer, 0 - 5 V DC or 4 - 20 mA
speed input signal to Pin 9.
2.
Set the Variable Speed Input Mode in the GAConfig Tool to 0 - 5 V
DC or 4 - 20 mA.
3. To calibrate the potentiometer:
a. Open Engine Tuning
Variable Speed.
b. Set the potentiometer to the full CCW position and click
Calibrate Minimum.
c. Turn the potentiometer CW all the way and click Calibrate
Maximum.
d. Note the Input Actual result
Variable Speed can be used as another fixed speed setting if both
Speed Minimum and Speed Maximum parameters are set to the same
rpm and no potentiometer is connected.

The CAN output supports J1939 protocol for basic engine speed and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Supported diagnostic trou-
ble codes (DTCs) are detailed in
J1939 CAN Settings and Diagnostics
in this manual.
