Open 1st

If applicable, install the second processor accordingly.

Applying thermal paste

If you are reusing the CPU heat sink of the defective system board module,
apply thermal paste as described in

"Applying thermal paste" on page 171

Installing CPU heat sinks

Install the CPU heat sinks on the new system board module as described in

"Installing the processor heat sink" on page 173

Installing protective socket covers on the defective system board module

Since the defective system board is sent back for repair, protect the
delicate processor socket springs with a socket cover.
