Basic software procedures

Saving BIOS settings

Updating BIOS settings is done using the Desk Flash Instant tool. For further
information, please refer to the "D3143 BIOS Setup Utility for PRIMERGY
BX924 S3" reference manual.

Saving iRMC settings

Ê

Enter the management blade web interface.

Ê

Open the

Information / Operation – Operation – Backup/Restoration

Managment – iRMC

menu.

Ê

Open the

Backup

tab.

Ê

Select the desired server blade in the

iRMC Parameters of Server Blade

list

box.

Ê

Open the

Backup Parameter Set

submenu.

Ê

Select the parameter groups which are to be saved.

Ê

In the

Backup Action

box select the backup medium.

– Select

Local File

to store the backup file in the file system of the FST.

The filename of the backup file will be automatically generated
using date and time the format

irmc

yyyymmtthhmmss

.txt

– Select

USB

if the backup file is stored in a USB memory stick.

This option is only displayed if a USB memory stick is connected
to the management blade.

Click the

Backup

button to start the backup process.
