11.3 "mpd_snap" Command
Format
Explanation
This command collects information for troubleshooting.
Send the grmpd_snap_info.tar.gz file created in the current directory by executing this command, and
other necessary information, to the Support desk.
During the collection processes, a message for the forcibly ended "mpdconfig" command may appear. This
message does not cause any problem and can be ignored.
Return codes
The following return codes are available when using a script:
"0" is returned for a normal status
Other than "0" is returned for an abend (and an error message is sent to the standard error output).
Error messages
This section explains the main error messages and the resolution process.
If any error message other than following appears, contact your Fujitsu engineer.
failed to open control device.(name=%s,ret=%d)
Cause:
The control device cannot be opened. %s is the path name.
Action:
Check whether the system was booted using an initial RAM disk (initrd) with the Multipath Driver.
failed to file lock.(file=%s,ret=%d)
Cause:
Multiple "iompadm" or "mpdconfig" commands were started at the same time.
Action:
Wait until one command finishes before entering the next.
Cannot setup because the number of devices is greater than 32.
Cause:
Recognition order setup cannot be performed when 33 or more devices are recognized.
Action:
Make sure that no more than 32 devices are recognized.
/opt/FJDVmpd/bin/mpd_snap
ERROR: This command can be used only by the super-user.
Cause:
A user without the root-level user privilege executed the command.
Action:
Execute the command with the root-level user privilege.
