Installing a hard disk drive

•

Prerequisite for devices with a casing lock: The casing is open and the side cover removed (see

"Opening the casing", Page 34

). If you are using a casing with a casing lock, the protective

grille in front of the drives must also be secured against unauthorised opening.

•

Requirement: remove the protective grille (see

"Removing the protective grille", Page 51

).

EasyChange rails for a second hard disk drive are mounted on the drive cage.

►

Secure the EasyChange rails on the side of the hard disk by inserting the upper pins
of the EasyChange rail in the corresponding holes on the hard disk.
