Removing a PC card

Use the small PC card icon located in your task bar to stop the card:

Place the cursor over the PC card icon.
Ê
Right click on the icon in your PC card task bar.
Ê
Select PC card Properties .
Ê
Select the card you wish to stop and click on Stop .
Wait for the dialogue box which tells you that it is now safe to remove the PC card.
Ê
Push the eject button (1).
Ê
Slide the PC card (2) out of the notebook.
Using PC-LAN cards
With PC-LAN cards you can access all resources of your local network (LAN = Local Area Network).

Before you can use PC-LAN cards, you must configure your notebook for use with the
network operating system. Open the
Configuration tab under Start - Control Panel - Network
and select the desired configuration.

If your notebook or your PC-LAN card has been supplied with a driver floppy disk, install
the card-specific drivers from the floppy disk, as it may contain newer drivers than the
installation media of Windows NT.

Set up your notebook for use in a local network with the support of the network manager.
