Removing and installing components during servicing
Installing the hard disk
When installing the hard disk, ensure that the contacts in the hard disk
compartment do not bend or become damaged.
Always make sure that the hard disk pulling aid is attached to the
new hard disk before you install it.
Always guide the hard disk pulling aid back between the hard disk
and the ExpressCard slot.

► Insert the hard disk in a straight line into
the hard disk compartment (1). In the
process, keep the pulling aid pressed
fl at against the hard disk..
► Holding the hard disk like this, push it into
the hard disk compartment in a straight
line until the contacts catch. Do not use
excessive force when inserting the hard disk.
► Afterwards check that the pulling aid is
located exactly between the hard disk
and the ExpressCard slot and that the
pulling aid is not protruding.
► Attach the cover in the direction
of the arrow (2).
► Secure the cover with the screws (3).
► Install the battery again (see
"Inserting the battery", Page 27 ).
► Turn the notebook the right way up and place it on a fl at surface.
► Reconnect the cables that you disconnected previously.
