4.4 Adjusting the Fuser Temperature

4.4

Adjusting the Fuser Temperature

When you have unsatisfactory printing results, such as printed images or texts coming off
or double printing with appropriate margins, adjust the fuser temperature to solve these
printing problems.

The fuser temperature can be adjusted for each paper type within the range of -2 to 2 in
increments of 1. The default is "0".

On the following condition, move up the value:

• Toner comes easy off.

• Documents and images are printed twice at 80 mm far from ordinary position.

• No luster on documents and images.

Use the following procedure to adjust the fuser temperature.

Press the <Menu> button on the control
panel to display the menu screen.

Press the <

> button until [Admin Menu] is

displayed.

Press the <

> or <Eject/Set> button to

accept the selection.
[Wired Network] is displayed.

Press the <

> button until [Maintenance

Mode] is displayed.

Press the <

> or <Eject/Set> button to

accept the selection.
[F/W Version] is displayed.

Press the <

> button until [Adjust Fuser] is

displayed.

Press the <

> or <Eject/Set> button to

accept the selection.
[Plain Paper] is displayed.

Press the <

> button until the paper type

you want to set is displayed.
(Example: Recycled Paper)

Press the <

> or <Eject/Set> button to

accept the selection.
A screen that allows you to enter the value
is displayed.
