Setting the camera performance
([
POWER MANAGEMENT])
Use this function to save power and increase the life of the
battery, or to increase the focusing speed for shooting.

The number of displayed frames per second will be
minimized. Also, the LCD monitor display will
automatically go dark when no operation is made for 10
seconds to save power.
CAUTION
• When Intelligent Face Detection function (
➝
p.32) is
ON, [
POWER SAVE] will be cancelled.
• Select [
POWER SAVE] when using continuously
for long periods in a hot place. If using in other modes
continuously for long periods in a hot place, vertical
linear noise may appear in the image by the nature of
CCD.
MEMO
Intelligent Face Detection function (
➝
p.32) will
automatically turn ON when using an optional AC power
adapter and DC coupler.
When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the focusing
speed will be increased. This function allows you to shoot
pictures quickly and is effective when you do not want to
miss the chance to shoot. Be aware of the battery charge,
since the camera consumes more power.
MEMO
• The focal range is approximately 1m (3.2 feet) to
infinity.
• The LCD monitor display will go dark when no operation
is made for 30 seconds, and will light up when any
buttons are pressed.
• When [AUTO POWER OFF] is set to [OFF], the setting
will be changed to [5 MIN].
