Section for simplified use
WARNING
Before reading this chapter you should have read the previous chapter.
To simplify the use of the receiver and the management of several digital channels, there are some Windows and Menus
that are accessible by pressing a single button on the remote control (see section 1.3.2). They are meant for frequent use
and their functions are essential for speedy interaction with the receiver.
For advanced use of the device, the settings and customizations, refer to Chapter 3.
2.1
Rapid selection of TV/Radio channels
You can change the channel in one of the following ways:
1.
Press CH+/CH-on the remote control to skip to t he next/previous channel.
2.
Enter the desired channel number directly with the digit keys 0÷9 on the remote control.
3.
Press TV/RAD on the remote control to switch between TV and radio channels of the receiver.
Alternatively, for a convenient way to manage the large number of TV and radio channels that digital terrestrial
broadcasting offers, use the channel list quickly accessible while watching programs by pressing OK on the remote,
then:

▲
to scroll through the list of one channel at a time, or press the buttons CH+/CH- to quickly browse
the list one page at a time.
Press OK on channel chose to tune in on it.
For an advanced management of the channel list, in particular for the construction of a favorite channels list, refer to
paragraph 3.2.1.
2.2
Channel information banner
Each time you change the channel or press the INFO button, at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds an info
window, also known as channel information banner, will appear on the currently tuned channel. The information that can
be present in this banner are:
1.
The channel number.
2.
The name of the channel.
3.
The current date and time.
4.
The titles of both the current and the next programs.
5.
The presence of optional data like subtitles (
SubT
icon), teletex (
TTX
icon), EPG information (
EPG
icon).
NOTE
If the broadcaster does not transmit some of the above information, it will not appear on the channel banner.
Also, when the info banner of the channel is active, pressing INFO will also display technical information the current
channel.
2.3
Electronic Program Guide (EPG)
Some digital TV channels broadcast, not only special audio-video data of the program you’re viewing, but also
information about the channel’s daily or weekly program schedules. In order to consult the EPG, press the EPG button
on the remote control and then:

to select and tune into the channel you are interessted in viewing.
With the
◄
/
►
keys move through the various programming events on the chosen channel.
Press the RED (
Time
) button and the
◄
/
►
keys and OK to rapidly navigate through the programs of a channel.
In corrispondence to an event, press the OK button to consult any additional information.
Use the GREEN (
Timer
) to book your viewing or to record a selected event. Book timers can be viewed from the
menu System Setup > Timer setting (para. 2.7).
Use the EXIT key to leave EPG.
WARNING
The EPG information is optional data transmitted by broadcasters. Therefore, failure to display all or some of the
information is not a symptom of a malfunctioning of the receiver.
2.4
Teletext function
If the channel has Teletext data:
Use the TEXT button to start it.
Use the numeric keys 0÷9 to enter a page number and the arrow keys

/
►
to go to any subpage.
Press the TEXT button again or EXIT to leave the menu.
2.5
Audio and Subtitles options
If the current channel is broadcasting in multi audio/languages and/or contain subtitles, you can select the audio track
and/or subtitles that you prefer. Perform the following steps:
Press AUDIO or SUB remote controller.
