2.2 Control elements
The control of the programmable amplifiers MIND will be done through two elements:
1. LCD display with 2 lines and 8 characters for showing the information..
2. Control buttons:
- MENU : Cancels the edition and return to the initial screen.
- OK : Enter in the next level of the menu, enable the edition mode or confirm the new
values of the parameters.
- ESC : Goes back one level in menus or cancels the current parameter edition.
- ◄ ► : Move through menus options or change the parameter values while is in edition
mode.
3 Menu and programming the amplifier
The programming of the amplifier is through the integrate programmer. Below
the steps and the menu options are explained:
When you connect the headend to the mains or exit of sleep mode, the LCD
display shows an initial screen showing the model and software version of the
amplifier.
If no key is pressed for 60 seconds, the amplifier enter in sleep mode. To exit
the sleep mode and access the programming press any key on the keypad.
3.1 Main menu
Press the OK key to open the main menu. If the headens has a PIN code
previously set, a screen will appear asking to enter it.
Select the digits values with ◄ ► keys. Press
OK button to confirm the values
The main menu contains the following options:
- BIII-UHF4 MODE : Allow configure the bands for the input BIII-UHF4.
- DC PASS: In this menú can set the power for pre amplifiers in the UHF inputs .
- AUTO SCANNING: Search the UHF signals in the inputs selected.
- UHF1: Permits add or change the configuration of filters assigned to the input UHF1.
- UHF 2: Allow add or change the configuration of filters assigned to the input UHF2.
- UHF 3 . Permits add or change the configuration of filters assigned to the input UHF3.
- BIII-UHF4: Allow add or change Allow add or change in the input BIII-UHF4. This option only will be
displaying is not configure as DAB mode.
- OUT: Allow set the output level value and the equalization of the terrestrial band.
- FM : Allow change the settings of the amplifier for the FM band.
- AUX : Allow change the settings of the amplifier for the Auxiliary input. (Only available in the model
MIND 32S).
- SAT : Allows change the parameters of amplifier for IF satellite band (Only available in the model
MIND 32S).
- ADDITIONAL : Selecting this menu is possible see information of the amplifiers and save and restore
configuration backups.
