Updating FRITZ!OS
Overview
FRITZ!OS is the software of FRITZ!Powerline. At regular intervals, AVM
provides free FRITZ!OS updates with improvements, security updates
and even new features. You can update FRITZ!OS online and even
without an internet connection for FRITZ!Powerline. With the “Auto
Update” feature you can specify whether important updates are
installed automatically.
For secure, reliable use of your FRITZ!Powerline we recommend
updating the FRITZ!OS regularly.

1.
Open the user interface.

Select “System / Update / FRITZ!OS Version”.

Instructions: Updating FRITZ!OS without an Internet Connection
1.
On a computer with an internet connection: Open the following
address in the browser:

Navigate through the following folders: “fritzpowerline”, your
FRITZ!Powerline model and “other”.

Download the FRITZ!OS file with the file extension “.image” to
the computer.
4.
Open the user interface.
5.
Select “System / Update / FRITZ!OS File”.
6.
Enter a password, click on “Save Settings”, and select a storage
location for the backup file with your FRITZ!Powerline settings.
7.
Click on the “Browse...” button and select the FRITZ!OS file you
downloaded.
8.
Click on “Start Update”.
