SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS
13.1
INTRODUCTION
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing a LIFE multifunction blast chiller.
LIFE combines many functions in a small space. The appliance is the result of a partnership with
internationally renowned Chefs and Master Pastry Chefs, combining the best traditions with the most
advanced and safest technologies.
Please read the instructions carefully before switching on the appliance.
This manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be kept with utmost care in the immediate
proximity of the appliance. Should the appliance be transferred to a new owner, it must always be
accompanied by this manual.
13.2
OPERATING CONDITIONS
The appliance is only intended to be used within the limits indicated by the manufacturer, and only for the
purposes for which it was expressly designed: blast chilling, deep freezing, storage of food, proving of dough,
defrosting of frozen food, chilling of drinks, production of yogurt. Any other use shall be considered as
improper use. Do not use the appliance to cool the environment.
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility in the event of improper use of the appliance.
Keep the appliance out of reach of children and/or people that due to physical, sensory or psychological
impairment are unable to use it safely.
Only electric equipment of the type recommended by the manufacturer may be used inside the appliance.
The appliance has a core probe for the measurement of the temperature at the centre of the product. Handle
the probe with care using the appropriate handle. If the probe is not being used it can be removed and
covered with the appropriate protection cap. Do not insert the probe or any other pointed objects in the fan
grid or other vents.
When placing hot trays or containers inside the appliance, ensure that they are positioned correctly to
prevent them from falling. Also oven gloves must always be worn to prevent burns.
Do not use mechanical devices, or other types of devices, to speed up the defrosting process, unless they
have been recommended by the manufacturer.
THE BLAST CHILLER IS NOT A TRADITIONAL FRIDGE/FREEZER. At the end of the set working
cycle, a temporary conservation mode can be activated, if required. For long-term storage, place
the product in a refrigerator or freezer.
13.3
TECHNICAL SAFETY
The installation and the extraordinary maintenance and repair operations must only be carried out by
specialist personnel. The installer is required to comply with hygiene standards, fire safety regulations, the
regulations for the prevention of accidents, and electrical requirements.
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning operations, disconnect the power supply using the switch,
or by removing the plug from the electric socket. Warning: always remove the plug by holding it directly,
never by pulling on the cable.
If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period of time, remove the plug from the socket.
If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by technical support
personnel, and in all cases by a qualified electrician.
