PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION 

8.1 

 DESCRIPTION OF DEVICE 

 

T688B series chairs are electrically powered chairs with separate actuators allowing 
individual movement of lifting, backrest and leg rest. The Nurse Handset hung at the rear 
of the chair includes controls for Hi-Low (whole chair height), backrest, leg rest, memory 
position1, 2 &3, and storing memory positions.  The optional Patient Handset (when 
fitted) hung at the rear of the chair includes controls for backrest and leg rest only.  
 
The T688B chair consists of: 

-  four (4) actuators  
-  one (1) or two (2) hand controls (one nurse control & one optional patient 

control) 

-  pivoting or adjustable armrests 
-  4 locking castors or central locking castors 
-  removable upholstery of adjustable head rest, backrest, seat cushions 

and leg rest  

-  metal frame
