Configuring Service Objects

Service objects used in policies consist of a transport protocol and an associated port number. For

example, FTP is associated with protocol TCP and port number 21; HTTP is TCP/port 80, and SSL

is TCP/port 443. You can select service objects from a predefined list or you can create a custom
service object.
This section describes how to create, modify and delete address objects. The following topics are

Viewing Predefined Service Objects

To view predefined service objects, use the

get service command:

get service pre-defined

on page A-1.

Configuring Custom Service Objects

Use the

set service command with the name, protocol, src-port and dst-port options to

create a custom service object:

set service {name_str} protocol {prot_type} [ src-port {range} ] dst-port

{range}
