PPPoE
If the WAN port is connected directly to a DSL or cable modem, you will have to enter
certain information provided by your provider in several fields. This option allows you to
set up PPPoE or other types of DSL or cable connections.
Options Description
Login Username that you received from your ISP.
Password Password that you received from your ISP.
Retype Password Re-enter your password that you received from your ISP.
Dial on Demand A DSL connection is established only when a PC in the
network requests one.
Idle time (in seconds) Use this option if you are only given a limited contingent
of online hours each month. The DSL connection is discon-
nected if the user does not send or receive data within a
set period of time (in seconds).
PPTP
Select PPTP if the WAN port is connected to a DSL modem and your provider uses the
PPTP standard (e.g. in the Netherlands).
