The operating mode as repeater and
access point requires appropriate con-
figuration in the WLAN AP.
Since these are two different WLAN
operating modes, they must also be
configured and/or added under Network
> WLAN (Netzwerk > WLAN).
The first of the following figures shows
the gateway settings.
This requires firmware version 1.0.0.3 or
higher!
The relayed function forms the basis for
repeater functions. In this, an existing,
possibly weak WLAN signal of a router
is picked up, amplified and transmitted
as an access point at the place of instal-
lation of the WLAN AP. You can, e.g.,
“expand” WLAN connections at an
existing router and/or make them more
functionally reliable. Please note that the
maximum data rates in the operating
modes with repeater function are gener-
ally halved with each further repetition!
This is due to the general physical prin-
ciples of wireless transmission and no
separate property of the WLAN AP.
