3.2.8 Flow switch
The flow switch protects water heater, high-pressure hose, and spray gun against inadmis-
sible heating temperatures. When the flow rate is insufficient, the flow control valve will shut
down the oil burner.
3.2.9 Safety valve
The safety valve protects the machine from excessive pressures.
In our works, the safety valve has been set to the required triggering pressure. The setting
screw is fixed by a locknut and paint-sealed.
The safety valve setting must not be modified. Replacements and repairs may be
carried out by qualified personnel only. In case of replacement, only parts author-
ized by the manufacturer may be used.
3.2.10 Regulating thermostat
By operating the turning knob on the regulating thermostat, the desired operating tempera-
ture can be set.
3.2.11 Oil preheater
By means of the oil preheater within the oil burner, clean combustion and ignition even in
case of low fuel oil temperatures during the cold seasons are guaranteed.
4. Installation
4.1 Location
The machine is not restricted to any particular location. However, it must not be installed and
operated in fire and explosion hazard areas.
When the machine is installed in closed rooms, make sure the exhaust gas is properly dis-
posed of and adequate ventilation conditions are provided.
5. Operation
5.1. Operating media
5.1.1 Fuel oil
Use extra light fuel oil DIN 51603. Other oils and contaminated fuel oil may not be used,
since those may cause malfunctions and inadmissible emission rates. The filter within the
fuel oil inlet must not be removed.
5.1.2 Cleaning agents
Only the following FRANK chemicals and possibly certain other additional agents
authorized by the manufacturer may be used, sinc material compatibility can only
be guaranteed for these additional agents.
