5000 Series Open Front Cabinets 

TROUBLE SHOOTING 

FAULT 

POSSIBLE CAUSE 

REMEDY 

Cabinet does not operate/start 

The mains isolating switch on 
the wall, circuit breaker or 
fuses are off at the power 
board 

Turn isolating switch circuit 
breaker or fuses on 

The power switch on the 
cabinet is OFF 

Turn the power switch ON 

The power switch on the unit is 
faulty 

Have the switch replaced 

HA2 Alarm Display on 
Controller 

Compressor discharge pipe 
high temperature 

Turn power off, clean 
condenser radiator & pre-filter. 
Turn power on. 
If no cooling, or alarm returns 
within 24 h, call for service.

 

The cabinet temperature is not 
correct 

One or more rear doors is 
open 

Close the doors and re-test 
temperature after 30 minutes 

Ventilation louvers are blocked  Remove blockages 
Product is blocking air louvers 

Place product on shelves 

Evaporator coil fins are 
blocked 

Remove blockages 

Trays are obstructing air flow 

Re-position trays on shelves 

Thermostat needs adjustment 

Adjust controller 

Ambient temperature > 25

Adjust store air conditioning

 

Evaporator coil iced up 

De-ice coil 

Condenser radiator blocked 

Remove dust and debris 

Thermostat faulty 

Replace controller 

Temperature probe damaged 
or dislocated 

Replace or relocate the 
temperature probe 

Fan not operating 

Check and replace the fan 

The cabinet lights are not 
working 

The light switch is OFF 

Turn the light switch ON 

A LED strip has failed 

Replace the LED assembly 

An LED PSU has failed 

Replace the PSU 

An internal circuit breaker has 
tripped/failed 

Check the wiring and reset 
or replace the circuit breaker 

Doors are not sliding smoothly 

The door is not in its track 

Install the door correctly 

There is debris in the track 

Clean the door tracks 

A door glider is damaged or 
missing 

Have the glider replaced 

Lack of lubrication 

Apply food grade lubricant to 
door tracks

  

External Condensation 

Power supply failed (800 cab.) 

Replace power supply

 

Aluminium parts are corroded 

Damage by caustic detergent  

Order replacement parts 

Service 
Personnel Only
