4. OPERATION PRINCIPLE OF THE UPS
The EL 6~10K UPS is a true online UPS employing a double conversion topology. Figure 4.1.1
shows the function block diagram of the UPS system.

From logical point of view, the system comprises: An Input/output connector/terminal block, an input
EMI filter, an output EMI filter, a rectifier, a battery switch, a voltage booster, an inverter, an automatic
UPS switch, a maintenance bypass switch, a battery charger, a controller, an auxiliary power supply,
a communication interface, a ventilation module and the chassis.
