ATOMIZER ON VISION MULTIFUNCTION MACHINE
4.2.7 SUPPLY
First of all, it should be remembered that the quantity of plant
protection product to be used per hectare is always the same
regardless of the machine used and is shown on the packa
-
ging.
Suppose that for one hectare 3 kg of product is needed in
1000 liters of water.
With a normal atomizer 300 grams per 100 liters would be
used.
Determination of the effective inter-row distance to be treated
(in meters). It means the width of the land that includes the
number of rows treated at each passage, also taking into ac
-
count the sides to be sprayed.
Each plant has two sides and therefore it must be considered
whether to treat them together in a pass or separately.
Generally, the effective inter-row distance to be treated corre
-
sponds to the inter-row area (Fig. 13).

TABLE 2
Fig. 13 - Inter-row distances
A
C
B
In the case «A» the effective inter-row distance is equal to half
of «D» having to spray only half a row.
In the «B» case the effective inter-row distance is equal to «D»
where half of the water must be sprayed on the right and half
on the left.
In the «C» case, 2 complete rows are sprayed with one pass
and therefore the effective inter-row distance would be 2D,
i.e. double. Please refer to the delivery table for liters/hectare.
CAUTION: Adjust the atomizer with the parameters
obtained during the preliminary works.
- Make the filling of the hand cleaning tank as a first work (3
Fig. 16) so as to always have a source of clean water avai
-
lable.
- Prepare mixtures in a well-located place. If outdoors, the
presence of wind increases the risk of contamination.
- The dose of product, previously calculated, to be mixed with
each filling must be weighed accurately.
- In the presence of flammable products, avoid the proximity
of open flames, embers or incandescent bodies.
- Wash and rinse the freshly emptied product packages with
clean water - collect the washing water and pour it into the
tank before filling - place the packages in the provided con
-
tainer or collection area.
- Wash the equipment and tools used in the preparation befo
-
re storing them at the place where the chemicals are stored.
- To prevent any possibility of contamination of things or ani
-
mals and/or people, always leave the place of loading and
preparation of the mixture in the appropriate conditions.
- To provide a guide to the treatment and to avoid empty or
overlapping coverage, mark the field or the passage area
ofthe atomizer.
- Before starting the treatment, shake the mixture in the tank,
recycling its volume in the time necessary to make it homo
