PINPOINT TEST O: THE BLOWER MOTOR IS INOPERATIVE — EATC
Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

No
REPAIR circuit 1001 (WH/YE). TEST the system for
normal operation.
Test Step
Result / Action to Take
O1 CHECK THE BLOWER MOTOR SPEED CONTROL SUPPLY VOLTAGE
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: Blower Motor Speed Control C271a.
Ignition ON.
Press the AUTOMATIC button on the remote climate control (RCC) module.
Measure the voltage between the blower motor speed control C271a pin 1, circuit 371 (PK/WH) and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to
O7
.
No
GO to
O2
.
O2 CHECK THE BLOWER MOTOR RELAY SUPPLY VOLTAGE, SWITCH SIDE
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: Blower Motor Relay.
Measure the voltage between the blower motor relay socket pin 87 and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to
O3
.
No
REPAIR the affected circuit.
TEST the system for normal
operation.
O3 CHECK THE BLOWER MOTOR RELAY SUPPLY VOLTAGE, COIL SIDE
Ignition ON.
Measure the voltage between the blower motor relay socket pin 85 and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to
O4
.
No
REPAIR the affected circuit.
TEST the system for normal
operation.
O4 CHECK CIRCUIT 275 (YE) FOR AN OPEN
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: RCC Module C228.
Measure the resistance between the RCC module C228 pin 14, circuit 275 (YE) and the blower motor relay socket pin 86, circuit 275 (YE).
Yes
GO to
O5
.
No
REPAIR circuit 275 (YE).
TEST the system for normal
operation.
