7 - CUBE LINE L
21. Tighten element C70 permanently (fig. 8).
22. Tighten tread element B02 in a permanent manner. Assemble elements C72 on the treads (L30) (determine
the position of the openings using the template provided) with articles C57 and B02 and drill using a Ø 4.5 mm
point (fig. 2).
23. Check the verticality of the balusters (C67) again and correct by repeating the operations described above, if
necessary.
24. Position the first baluster (C67). Adjust the height of a long baluster (C67) cutting the end to the same height as
those already assembled (fig. 1).
25. Fasten element F34 to the floor near the first baluster (C67), drill using a Ø 8 mm point. Use elements C58,
B12, B83 and B02. (fig. 1).
26. Cut sections of handrail BH4 to length; assemble with part B51. For optimal fixing, the handrail must follow
about 1/8 of a turn from the contact point (fig. 1).
27. Fix handrail to balusters with parts CD3; keep balusters vertical. Insert angle parts BG4, BG2 and BG3 with
screws BB3 and BB6 for changes of direction. Apply end caps BG4 to ends of handrail with parts BH6 and B08
(fig. 1).
28. To further stiffen the staircase at intermediate points, secure elements F09 to the wall and join using elements
F33, with the balusters (C81 or C67). Drill using a Ø 8 point and use elements C50, C49, C58, B12 (fig. 11).
29. Insert the steel cables (F37) (fig. 12) into articles D39 and D40 found on the balusters. Secure the cables on
one of the two ends with articles D40 and C76, leaving an extra 15 mm of cable protruding from article D39.
Tighten the cables by hand and secure using articles D40 and C76. Cut the cables at a distance of 15 mm from
article D39. Insert articles D38 to protect the cables and secure with articles C76.
Warning
: when cutting the
cables, we recommend wrapping the part in question with adhesive tape in order to avoid fraying, use a suitable
shearer.
Assembling the railing on the landing and the supplementary balustrade
30. Assemble the column (C73) on element G01 protruding from the landing (E02), positioning articles D39 towards
the outside, using elements D49 (fig. 8) (fig. 9) (fig. 1).
31. Position elements F34, using elements C58, B83, B02 on the landing (E02). Drill the landing (E02) using a
Ø 5 mm point, maintaining the same centre to centre distance between the holes as the one used between the
balusters (C67) of the railings assembled before.
32. Position the shorter balusters (C68) and tighten the elements B02 of the articles F34 (fig. 1).
33. Cut 5cm off the straight handrail BH4. Drill a hole in the top using a 3.5mm Ø point and assemble the parts
BG4, BG3 with the screw BB3 (fig. 1).
34. Fit the assembly obtained with the elements BD2, BG2, BH1 and BG8 on the element C73 and tighten with the
dowel BC3 (fig. 1). Assemble the straight handrail BH4 on the element C73 and tighten with the element BB6
(fig. 1).
35. Cut the other end based on the dimensions of the balustrade, drill a hole using a 6 mm Ø bit to fasten the part
BG4 or drill a hole using a 3,5 mm Ø bit to fasten the parts BG2+BG3 with the parts BB3. Fasten the handrail
BH4 using the parts CD3, checking that the balusters are vertical. Tighten the parts B02 (fig. 1).
36. To stiffen the staircase further at intermediate points, secure elements F09 to the wall and join to the balusters
(C81 or C67) using elements F33. Drill using a Ø 8 mm point and use elements C50, C49, C58, B12 (fig. 11).
37. Insert the steel cables (F31) (fig. 12) into articles D39 and D40 found on the balusters. Secure the cables
to one of the ends using articles D40 and C76, leaving an extra 15 mm of cable protruding from article D39.
Tighten the cables by hand and secure using articles D40 and C76. Cut the cables at a distance of 15 mm from
article D39. Insert articles D38 to protect the cables and secure with articles C76.
Warning
: when cutting the
cables, we recommend wrapping the part in question with adhesive tape in order to avoid fraying, use a suitable
shearer.
38. Based on the position and the existence of walls around the opening of the staircase, one or two (C03) extra
balusters may need to be positioned (fig. 9).
39. In this case, consider a space equidistant from the other balusters or from the wall. To secure these, we
recommend drilling the landing (E02) with a Ø 5 mm point and using elements F34, C58, B83, B02. We also
recommend drilling the floor with a Ø 14 mm point and using elements F34, B02, B13 (fig. 10).
