8 Maintenance
To perform maintenance on the pump, the motor must be removed from the pump.
All motors must be checked regularly in accordance with the legal/country-specific
requirements and accident prevention regulations (in Germany, e.g. BGV A3).
Check the motor, mains cable, pump and hose regularly for operating safety.
8.1 Dismantling and Disposal
> The pump, the hose and the fittings must be emptied prior to dismantling.
> Collect environmentally harmful substances and liquids in appropriate containers and
dispose of them in an environmentally sound manner.
> Dispose of scrap material and parts that cannot be repaired or reused in an environ-
mentally sound manner.
Danger from splashing liquids!
Before removing the motor:
• Empty pump, hose and fittings.
• Check the hose clamps or hose holders regularly for firm seating.
• Do not remove the motor as long as there is still back-pressure within the
system.
• With pressurised containers, the motor must only be taken off when the con-
tainer is depressurised.
Danger of electric shock!
• Dirt, high humidity or material damage to the motor housing may lead to
dangerous electric shocks.
• Only start three-phase motors with an upstream motor protection switch
installed.
• Installation work on three-phase motors may only be carried out by qualified
personnel.
• Check the mains connection cable for damage before every use.
• Changes to the mains connection may only be carried out by qualified elec-
tricians.
Attention! Material damage!
• Avoid dry running.

• Always replace defective parts.
• Only use genuine spare parts.
• When returning the pump for repair, it must be accompanied by the decon-
tamination certificate (download at www.flux-pumpen.de).
