Replacing the Line Cord

Warning
Disconnect from the telephone network when replacing the line cord.
The line cord can be replaced by the user. To get a replacement line cord, contact your local
Fluke Networks distributor.
To remove the old line cord:

Turn the Test Set off and disconnect the AC adapter/charger from the test set, if attached.

Place the Test Set on a protected work surface, face down.
Note
Cover screws are captive.

Using a flat-blade screwdriver, loosen the four battery door screws; then remove the battery
door.

Remove one battery on each side of the line cord relief strap.

Using a screwdriver or needle-nose pliers, pry up the plastic clip that holds the line cord relief
strap in place (Figure 3-3, left); then remove the clip (Figure 3-3, right).

Disconnect the RJ-45 modular connector from housing on test set (see Figure 3-4, left).

Slip the line cord out through the hole in the end of the test set.
