Troubleshooting
The troubleshooting section will allow you to solve the most common problem
encountered configuring and installing a Videomesh.
I am unable to get the login screen
If you are unable to get the login form once you have attached a computer to a
Videomesh you should check the following.
Is the Ethernet cable used a crossover cable?
A standard Ethernet cable does not work to connect a computer to a Videomesh
for configuration purposes. Make sure that you are using an appropriate
crossover
Ethernet cable rather than a standard Ethernet cable.
Are you getting a valid IP in the subnet 1.a.b.c from the Videomesh?
In case you are unable to get a valid IP address from the router’s DHCP server,
you can set the correct network settings to your computer manually in the
following way.
1. In Windows Explorer, right-click “My Network Places” and select
Properties

2. Right-click Local Area Network and select
Properties
.
3. Right-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and select
Properties
