4.2 ANTENNA TILT ADJUSTMENT
Note
The R1, R2, R3, R3D, R5 and R5D radars are factory-adjusted so that the antenna points to the
horizon.
Note
Radar performance is optimal at 0 degree of tilt angle under most circumstances. Only modify the
antenna tilt angle if required by the terrain profile (refer to Section 3.1).
Changing the antenna tilt angle has an impact on the minimum and maximum detection ranges. Typical
detection distances are given in Table 3, Table 4, Table 5 and Table 6.
