Switching keypad tones on and off 

DZM keypad tones may be switched on or off as required. Keypad tones are the sounds that are emitted when 

keys on the DZM are pressed. 

Turning keypad tones on and off: 

 

From the ’Audio Setup’ sub-menu, use the arrow keys to navigate 

to 'Keypad Tones'. 

Press the 

 ENTER key to select. The 'Keypad Tones' screen 

displays. 

Using the arrow keys, navigate to the keypad mode required (e.g. 

'On'). 

Press the 

 ENTER key to save. 

 

 

 

Muting DZM audio when phones are not in use 

DZM audio to the ICS may be switched off when the phones are not on a call. This is used to avoid noise from 

the satellite phone or cell modem breaking into the ICS. 

Muting DZM audio when phones are Ready: 

 

From the ’Audio Setup’ sub-menu, use the arrow keys to navigate 

to ’Mute Phones When Ready’. 

Press the 

 ENTER key to select. The ’Mute Phones When 

Ready’ screen displays. 

Using the arrow keys, navigate to the keypad mode required (e.g. 

'On'). 

Press the 

 ENTER key to save.
