7 Troubleshooting
Solving Common Problems
7.1
The following troubleshooting guide was designed to help you solve technical problems. If the unit has to
be returned for repair, or if you need any assistance, please contact FISO Customer Support.
Symptom Possible cause Possible solution
No power
Not powered up
Turn on the ON/OFF switch, located in the access panel, behind the
optical connectors.
Main power Try another main outlet.
Power supply
Verify the power supply connection. If possible, try another power
supply (with the same polarity), or test the voltage of the power
supply. If the power supply is faulty, call your power supply supplier.
One or more units not
detected on the
network Unique identification of
each unit may be incorrectly
entered
Reconfigure the network addressing.
The channel status LED turns red when there is something wrong with the channel. The error code
appears in the display of the temperature channel in the measurement display mode.

Ensure minimum sensor temperature is
greater than -40 °C. Check the offset
value in Nortech Client.

Measured temperature is greater than
the maximum permitted temperature.
Ensure maximum sensor temperature is
less than 225 °C. Check the offset value
in Nortech Client.
Error Error 3
Excessive
Back Reflection
Excessive back reflection. The ratio of
reference signal to reflected signal is
too high.
Clean connectors, check connectors for
scratches, perform another reference.
Error Error 4 Unknown signal Unknown signal.
Ensure sensor is operating within
temperature specifications.

Error Error 6 Signal Shape
Not enough light, due to bad
connections, dirty connections, weak
sensor, weak light source.
Ensure that all connections are clean.
Ensure sensor is properly connected.
Error Error 7 Signal Not Ok
Calib Error 8 No Calibration
Missing calibration or calibration is
unusable.
Return unit to factory for calibration.
