cess control before taking the loop out
of service.
Mounting Types HF210 and HF220—Cage Clamp
and Conventional Screw Terminal Filters
The Type HF210 and HF220 filters mount on a control
system output terminal strip that has a single row of
screw terminals. A pair of 16 AWG solid wires extend
from the input side of the filter. These wires connect to
the terminal block of the control system output. The
output side of the filter has either a screw-terminal
style or a cage-clamp style terminal assembly. A
10-foot (3 meter) cable connects the filter to the multi-
plexer.
These filters are available with normal or reverse po-
larity orientation. Figure 7 shows a Type HF210 filter
with normal polarity orientation, the input and output
negative (–) connections are to the left of the positive
(+) connections. The reverse polarity orientation has
the connections reversed; the negative (–) connec-
