each with eight cage-clamp contacts, are also sup-
plied for connecting individual wire pairs from field
instruments or from Type HF240 filters.

tool for commissioning new instruments or for monitor-
ing installed instruments.
Each multiplexer has four communication channels,
each channel connecting to eight field devices, to sup-
port a total of 32 HART-based field devices. With the
ability to network up to 32 multiplexers, a host PC can
