Reference - Guider -> Parameters tab view
This view presents some of the most important information related to the guider per-
formance. A screen dump of this view is shown below.
Guider Parameters View
Calibrate button
- pressing this button will start the guider calibration procedure. The
button will change to an
‘
Abort
’
button that you can press to cancel the procedure. Dur-
ing the calibration operation the telescope will be commanded to slew in both the
NORTH and WEST directions in order to characterize the response of the telescope
system to guide correction commands that are sent from the guider. Pressing the
‘
Abort
’
button will stop sending any slewing commands to the telescope mount.
Auto Guide Enable
- checking this box will start the operation of calculating guide star
position errors and sending resulting error corrections to the mount. No guide correc-
tions are sent unless this control is checked.
