After 30 seconds or more, pull the piston to the very end of the syringe, and fill the syringe
with a breath sample from the oral cavity. Then push the piston and return the gas to the
oral cavity. Pull the piston again to the very end of the syringe to fill it with another breath
sample and this time remove the syringe from the oral cavity.
* To eliminate unwanted air in the syringe, this process requires pulling the piston twice.
5.
Remove saliva from the tip of the syringe with tissue paper.
CAUTION
Do not rub syringe with alcohol to remove the saliva. If such alcohol enters into
OralChroma, the accurate measurement cannot be expected because the sensor
and other components in OralChroma become unstable.
6.
Slowly push the plunger to the 1 cc (ml) position.
CAUTION
Inject the sampled gas within one minute after collecting the gas. If time elapses,
the measurement result could be inaccurate because the gas may leak from the
syringe or adsorb on to the inside surface of the syringe.
Adjust to 1cc.
