TRANSMISSION TYPE
Selects the format of the GOES transmission. BLM (Bureau of Land Management)
format is primarily used in the USA. Time-ordered format provides chronological
time-stamped data and is primarily used in Mexico.
ENABLE SELF-TIMED TRANSMIT
This box is selected to enable GOES self-timed data transmissions.
ENABLE RANDOM TRANSMIT
This box is selected to enable GOES random data transmissions.
CHANNEL #
This is the self-timed or random transmit channel number assigned by NESDIS.
INTERVAL
This sets hour/minutes/seconds between transmissions (i.e. every 3 hours)
DAYS
This sets the number of days between transmissions. This is usually set to 0 (zero).
FIRST TX TIME
This sets the time of the first transmission. After the first transmission, the
transmissions will repeat at the transmit interval.
TX WINDOW LENGTH
This sets the length of the transmission window (i.e., 15 seconds, 1 minute, etc.).
PREAMBLE
Short or long only used with timed transmissions. This is normally set to short.
BIT RATE
The transmission bit rate can be set to 100, 300 or 1200 bps. Set the bit rate
according to your channel assignment.
INTERLEAVER
This can be set to short or long for 300bps or 1200bps transmissions. The default
setting is none as this feature is rarely used.
GOES SATELLITE
Indicate which GOES satellite is being used. Satellite latitude and longitude values
are supplied by Toolbox and should not require editing.
