PRESENTATION CODE
Use 7 for 8 bit binary data, 0 for ASCII.
ADDRESS PREFIX (PREFIX)
Optional 10 character field used for certain destination types. Contact your LES for
details.
DESTINATION CODE (COUNTRY CODE)
Depending on the nature of the service selected in the Destination Service Type
above this is the Inmarsat Country Code, Access Code, or Digital network ID code.
ADDRESS (DESTINATION)
Depending on the service selected in the Destination Service Type above, this may
be a Telex number, Phone number, network subscriber address, etc.
ADDRESS EXTENSION (EXTENSION)
Optional service description (i.e., T30 for fax service).
DATA NETWORK ID
This is the Inmarsat DNID number assigned to your data network. Not all land earth
stations support DNIDs. Contact your land earth station for details.
DATA NETWORK MEMBER NUMBER
This is the Data Network Member Number assigned to the station. Leave at 1 if not
using Data Network IDs.
ENABLE POWER SAVE
If this box is not checked, then the satellite interface will be left on all the time. This
gives communications at any time, but is also the highest power consumption. The
parameters following the box do not need to be configured.
If this box is checked, then the satellite interface will be turned on periodically so that
it may transmit data or receive messages. The times are controlled by the following
parameters:
Power Save Period: This sets how often the interface is to be turned on (i.e.
hourly, daily)
Power On Time:
This sets how long it stays on
Power Offset:
This specifies when the station is to be first turned on
after installation. After this time the station turn-on is
controlled by the Power Save Period.
