TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter lists the most common problems linked with the use of the appliance. If you are unable to resolve the problems with the
information given here, please contact your nearest assistance centre.
DISPOSAL
To dispose of the appliance, take it to a demolition centre or an
authorised collection centre.
Before scrapping the appliance, it is necessary to remove and
separate out the following materials, then send them to the
appropriate collection centres in accordance with applicable
environmental hygiene regulations:
• Brush
• Electric and electronic parts*
• Plastic parts
• Metallic parts

PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
The appliance doesn't work.
The plug is not plugged in or the power is
not switched on.
Plug the plug to the power outlet and turn
on the appliance.
The outlet is not powered.
Check the appliance in another outlet
where you are sure power is supplied.
The power cable is damaged.
Have the power cable replaced by an
authorized Service Centre.
The appliance suddenly stops
vacuuming.
The overheating protection has tripped
(probably due to the clogging of the air
ducts, dirty filters etc.)
Turn off and disconnect the appliance.
Eliminate the cause of the overheating (e.g.
intake ducts clogged, dirty filters, etc.). Wait
30 minutes and allow the appliance to cool.
The turn on the appliance again.
The appliance doesn't pick up any type
of dirt.
The dust bag is full.
Replace the dust bag, read chapter
“MAINTENANCE”.
One of the vacuum motor filters (inlet filter
or outlet filter) is clogged.
Clean or replace the relative filter, read
chapter “MAINTENANCE”.
Lance, vacuum pipe and vacuum hose
are blocked.
Remove the obstruction. Use a long
wooden rod if necessary (e.g. broom
handle).
The lance inserted is not suitable for the
type of flooring.
Insert the correct lance.
The carpet/floor selector is in the wrong
position with respect to the type of flooring.
Adjust the position of the carpet/floor
selector to the flooring type.
The brush does not work.
The connection cable is loose or not
connected. Vacuum pipe loose.
insert correctly the connection cable. Insert
correctly the vacuum pipe. Read chapter
“APPLIANCE PREPARATION”.
The operation of the appliance is noisy .
The particles vacuumed block the air duct.
Remove the particles. Use a long wooden
rod if necessary (e.g. broom handle).
