Pairing other devices to the main column

A main column can be extended by up to 5 side columns. To connect a side column to the main column

must be activated in the user interface of the main column

to allow coupling of further

devices.

Installation of the secondary column see:

"Device coupling via optical connection"Below

"Commissioning of a secondary column (slave)"on page51

To allow pairing, perform the following steps on the main column:

Activate the configuration mode by pressing the

lock icon

and confirming the query.

From the menu, open the

Device Overview

entry . An overview of all available devices will appear.

Activate pairing mode by pressing the

Allow pairing of other devices

box. This mode will auto-

matically exit after 20 minutes.

Device coupling via optical connection

A side column can also be directly coupled to a main column via optical data transmission. The pre-

requisite for this is that both the main column and the minor column correspond to the hardware version

'hw-v2' or later (from serial number 233870). In addition, at least server version 2.3... devices must be

installed on both devices.
