OPERATION
Operation consists of arming the system and then monitoring it. Normally, the system
can remain armed, even when the process equipment is temporarily shut down, except
when personnel enter the protected area.

WARNING
ALWAYS DISARM THE SYSTEM BEFORE ALLOWING PERSONNEL
TO ENTER THE PROTECTED AREA.
IF THE SYSTEM DISCHARGES UNINTENTIONALLY,
SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH COULD RESULT.
Applying Power to the System
1. Open the control panel enclosure door using a flat screwdriver. Ensure that the key-
switch is in the DISARM position.
2. Turn the black knob on the front panel counterclockwise to release the front panel
latch.
3. Apply AC power by pushing down on the circuit breaker button.

the horn will sound intermittently.
The horn may be silenced by depressing the horn silence button, however, the
horn will likely resound within 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, all internal tests will
be completed and depressing the horn silence button will silence the horn for one
hour. After an hour, the horn will resound.
4. Apply DC power by connecting the battery to the control panel.
5. Close the front panel and secure by turning the black knob clockwise.
Arming the System
1. Turn the key-switch located on the front panel (and any remote arm/disarm devices)
to the ARM position.
The green ARMED indicator will begin to blink to indicate the start of the arming
process.
The yellow FAULT indicator will remain illuminated during the arming process.
If the system passes all external tests (15 second duration), the system will arm.
