Switch S1-1 (DET1)
Switch S1-1 configures DET1 for Class A or Class B operation. When the switch is in
the left position, DET1 is configured for Class B wiring. When the switch is in the right
position, DET1 is configured for Class A wiring.
Switch S1-2 (DET2)
Switch S1-2 configures DET2 for Class A or Class B operation. When the switch is in
the left position, DET2 is configured for Class B wiring. When the switch is in the right
position, DET2 is configured for Class A wiring.
If both DET1 and DET2 circuits are used, they should both be configured the same.
Switch Bank S3
Switch bank S3 shown in Figure 8 has eight switches. The top switch (S3-1) is not used.
Figure 8: Switch Bank S3
Switch S3-2 (DETR/DL)
Switch S3-2 programs how the control panel detection circuits, relays, and indicators are
reset. The position of the switch has no relevance if detectors utilizing dry contacts are
wired to the detection circuit(s). The control panel can be reset by either pressing the
reset button or disarming and rearming the control panel. When dynamic pressure
detectors are wired to the detection circuit(s), the position of the switch is important. If
the switch is in the left position, the panel can only be reset from a trouble condition by
pressing the reset button. If the switch is in the right position, the panel can only be
reset from a trouble condition by disarming and arming the panel. Regardless of the
position of this switch, the reset button must be pressed to reset the control panel after
an alarm condition.
